The #19 Capital Metro Bus Schedule

The BrykerWoods Neighborhood is fortunate to have convenient buss access to the University and downtown. Approximately every 30 minutes the #19 Capital Metro Bus (Map - PDF file) travels through the middle of the neighborhood. The direct ride to the University is only 5 minutes and the ride to downtown is less than 10 minutes. And the cost is 50 cents (25 cents if you purchase a book of bus passes from the neighbirhood grocery store).

Voters choose Commuter Rail

On November 2 2004, citizens in the Capital Metro service area voted in favor of allowing the agency to operate urban commuter rail service extending from Leander through northwest and east Austin and on to downtown. As of late Tuesday evening, the unofficial vote totals indicated that 62% citizens voted for the referendum while 38% voted against. The Downtown/Northwest Urban Commuter Rail Service is one part of the authority’s All Systems Go Long-Range Transit Plan to provide options for citizens to help address regional population growth, estimated to double in the next 25 years. > All Systems Go!
